Would there be any benefit to run the cotton shroud material through a block of beeswax to lay down the fuzzies? I mean a very light coat, not enough to make them sticky.
Hi Augendoc, You could run the cotton through beeswax, it may make the line a bit stiffer and might cut down on the fuzzies. I haven't really noticed any fuzziness in the cotton lines. I used to run ship model rigging through beeswax to make the lines waterproof, so they wouldn't sag over time.
Indeed -- and if you need to redo the shroud lines, it defeats the purpose of the pre-assembled parachutes.

Cotton lines also have a little of stretch to them giving them some shock absorption.
