Dr. Zooch SLS Build Part 10 Corrugated Wraps

I decided to use the optional Saturn V style wraps supplied in the kit instead of the corrugated wraps shown below. It's up to you which to use but I wanted to show the gluing of the original corrugated wraps.
If you are painting the core tank orange, glue on the wraps now.

If you choose the Saturn V wraps, you'll glue on the lugs, paint the body tube white then glue on the printed Saturn V wraps and painted feeder tube after that.
While the kit supplies the extra Saturn V wraps, instructions don't give any more information on when to put them on.




After cutting and running a sanding block over the wraps, there was a slight overturned edge.
This was cleaned up with some 400 grit sandpaper.



When cutting the wraps to the length around the body tube, it's best to cut a hair wide and trim to their final width.

This is the top wrap in place. I used only a very thin film of white glue spread evenly over the back of the wrap.
The edges were squared with the body tube with a sanding block.



All three wraps are in place.

I haven't glued the engine mount in yet. I want to be sure of the placement of the engine hook and shroud wrap edges in relation to the final positions of the strap ons.
