Some have posted they see a resemblance to the OOP Edmonds Aerospace kits. The new Gryphon is a rear wing, canard design but that's where the similarities end.
On the right are the black and white decals.
Do you remember that kit named "M.I.R.V. Gryphon" (I don't remember the manufacturer)? Neat concept (splits separate rockets upon staging), but name was a "groaner" for anybody familiar with a particular celebrity (Merv Griffin -- who did found a production company that did feature an image of a gryphon in its logo).
