"Bones" Halloween Build, Part 7, Ends & Edges

The paper covering on the coffin is a bit slick and may not give good glue adhesion.
I traced around the root edge and cut away the covering.

EDIT: You'll need to go deeper and cut a shallow trench the width of the fin. On my first flight one of the fins popped off on landing. The paper wrap has a waxy surface that glue doesn't stick to very well.

A launch lug was glued onto the back of the model down the root edge of a plain fin.




The bony hands were bent to fit and glued around the top edge.
To make it look more interesting, they weren't glued in line with each other.

A Kevlar line was tied around an engine block. The block was set to allow the engine to extend out the back for a tape wrap.

With the Kevlar out the back end, an elastic line was tied on. The elastic was fed through and out the top.

A streamer was tied on, a little down from the nose cone.
EDIT: After the first launch I replaced the streamer with a small parachute.

Give all the printed wraps and skull head a shot of clear acrylic to protect from a wet grass landing.
