Quest Courier #Q2011 Build, Part 1, Parts

This is a show model build for Quest.

For durability I'll be cutting duplicate fins out of 3/32" basswood.

The kit parts are of great quality.

There are two 14" parachutes, one for the main body, one for the egg capsule. These are newer, flexible sheet parachutes, not the crispy plastic.

The yellow engine mount tube doesn't have a glassine wrap.

No elastic shock cord, just a Kevlar line attaches to a 14" parachute to the lower body. A second 14" chute is tied to the base of the egg capsule.

Parts of interest:

The egg capsule is molded as one piece and cut apart.

Large fin and kit name stickers. The fin stickers cover most of the fin surface.
