Here's why I didn't use much glue on the fins.
This many fins can be difficult to line up. Using less glue allows for easier re-alignment if needed.
The long strips are scraps from the sides of the balsa sheet, long enough to reach all three fins.
Here I used chip bag clips (clamped over the just the alignment strips, not on the fins) to get all three fins in line.
Apply fillets on three fins in a line, set the long strips and clamp over the alignment pieces. After the glue fillets dry - turn the rocket, fillet and align the next set of three fins.
I glue the launch lug in line with the engine hook.
With the fins in the way it's hard to scrape off the filler/primer down the glue line.
Wrap some 400 grit around a Q-tip and remove some primer for a better glue bond.
