New Estes Gemini Titan Kit

It's about time!
Estes has just released a new "expert build" 1/48 scale Gemini Titan kit.
27" tall, 2.5' diameter.
Two C5-3 engine cluster, 350 foot altitude.

I had built the original K-22 kit in the early 1970s. The engines were slid into widened cardstock nozzles.
This new kit has (removeable for flight) scale nozzles. A finned cluster mount is slid in, turned and locked in place. A 24" rip stop parachute is included.

  1. This is the most interesting non-PSII kits Estes has released in awhile - I'll be buying one and hope Chris will do a build in the near future.

  2. I've been waiting for this one! I had the 1:73 scale kit that was available in the catalogue from 1987 to I think 1990. Its loss has left me yearning to see this day.

    1. Hi Anonymous,
I'd do a build if Estes sent me a kit! I haven't recieved any new builds from Estes for about six months.

  4. Speaking of scale and new old kits so to speak, has there been hallway gossip about Estes bringing back the LJ II and maybe the LTV Scout and Thor-Agena B?

    1. Hi Anonymous,
I can't answer that one! I'm not in on those conversations.
