Enerjet by Aerotech, Astrobee D Build, Part 10, Forward Lug Rail Fastener

Here's the other side showing the molding tab cut a little wide, away from the bolt washer.

Carefully trim away the mold tab with a sharp knife. Make small chip cuts.

It's easier to check the roundness looking at the flat, back side.

Before and after sanding with 400 grit on a block.

All the fasteners are stored in a zip baggie.

While I was supplied with two extras, they could be very easy to lose.

  1. Hi Chris,
This is off topic of this post, but I have never heard of warming up paint before applying. If you have time, check out this video at the 8:15 mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p_lftjjqiI I am wondering if you have ever heard this.

  2. Hi Anonymous,
Interesting to use a het gun at the base of the spray can. Florida is hot and I keep my spray cans in the garage so they are always warm for painting. In the wintertime, I might let the can sit in a sink of warm water.
I was surprised he was spraying indoors without a mask. Even with the fans, some spray will be landing on everything.
