John Boren is a busy guy!
On YORF, Bill Cooke posted this page from "The Beginner's Guide To TARC".
It's named the OLYMPUS.
BT-65? I haven't seen that diameter since the clear payload section on the old Estes Scrambler. The upcoming "Green Eggs" also uses the BT-65.
It'll easily hold an egg and altimeter. Flys with BP 29mm motors.
I'll definitely be getting one of those. Nice, clean design. But I don't think I'll be using the graphics. Don't you just love the Hobby Lobby 40% Off coupons?
ReplyDeleteHi Mike,
DeleteYeah, I probably wouldn't use those decals either. Reminds me of the old comic book style art used on the Colossus.
Hobby Lobby doesn't accept the 40% off coupons on rockets and engines anymore! All Estes products have been reduced in price, close to the 40% off.
What is the ID and OD of the BT-65. I don't have that one in my resource book. Google came up empty!
ReplyDeleteIt’s roughly a 1.8” OD tube - matches the clear plastic payload tube.
ReplyDeleteThe clear plastic payload tube of the old Scrambler was 1.75" ID and 1.796" OD. I found it here:
