
Here's extra "parts" many never noticed in the MPC Minirocs kits.
Molded into the sides of the blister packaging are small nozzles and canopies. The inset picture shows the vacu-formed corrugation on the bottom of the package.

Back to the parts prep:
The base of the nose cone shoulder was as wide as the outside diameter of the body tube!
After a bit of sanding the fit of the nose cone was where it should have been.
After the shoulder was shaped to fit in the tube, the nose cone base was a "muffin top" over the body tube top.
The overhang was sanded off with 400 grit on a block.
