Also, the stick-ons didn't seem long enough to cover from the front of the body tube to under the wing tip.
I used the "D" piece from the stick on sheet for a pattern to cut the mask.
It's taped on the bottom of a clear cutting board, facing up . (The board has a pebbled surface on the bottom side, I'll be cutting on the smooth side.

Scotch tape was stuck on the smooth side.
Looking through the glass I was able to follow the blue shape. The tape was cut with as smooth a curve as possible.

After the cuts were made a wide marker was used over the cut lines.
This will make the clear tape mask line easy to see on the white body tube.

The center areas were removed and thrown away.
These two sides will be used for the blue mask on the forward end of the body tube.
