Freedom 7 Part 8 Tower

Next up, you cut a small triangle out of balsa using the triangle cut from the wrap sheet. Knock off a small bit from the triangle corners for a small gluing guide.

This little triangle is your gluing guide to set up the basis for the three sided tower.

All three legs are glued to the little triangle.

I should explain, this was my first of two attempts at the tower. This is the method explained in the instructions. While this method works very well and would satisfy most people, I worked up a different method explained a little later on.

TIP: Here's a picture that might look a little strange to some. This is the corner of my cardboard cutting board and work surface. All those clear raised areas are dried drops of white glue.

When doing very small work, I don't apply white glue or Super Glue (CA) right out of the bottle nozzle onto the model. You don't have enough control over the flow and could end up applying too much.
A drop of white glue or CA is set on the cardboard, A toothpick is dipped into the glue drop and transferred onto the model.
When glue is in a drop like this (not spread out) it'll take quite a while to dry and you can use it for a while. Even CA last for longer than you might think.
