
To make the shoulder (or coupler) cut a 1 3/4" length of the main airframe tube.
Cut a line through and straight down the length of the tube.

Set this split tube into the nose cone allowing it to overlap tightly against the inside wall of the nose cone.
Mark the overlap with a sharp pencil.
Remove the split tube.

I cut through mine with scissors.
Note in the picture, I am cutting INSIDE the line a bit to make the joint a tighter fit.
