The Best Spray Paint Out There?

A few months back Lonnie Buchanon gave me a can of gray spray paint at a Tampa TTRA launch.
He said to give it a try and report back on the results.

I'd never heard of this brand before - Fixall Spray Enamel.

I didn't need gray paint until I recently made two models from the Estes Enduring Freedom series, the Paveway III and the Python.

This is great paint!
It covers quick with a very smooth coat and dries fast.

I can only compare it to the Testor's Model Master spray paint.
I love the Testor's paint but it seems too expensive, $7.00 for a three ounce can.
If this Fixall paint were available locally, I wouldn't be using the Rustoleum 2X paint.
Recently I've had some bad cans of the Rusto - this new brand of paint might solve a lot of problems. The Fixall paint company has been around for years.

I checked online and can't find it locally. You can order it tho -

The only drag, you have to buy six cans at once!
$23.85 for six 10 oz. cans (plus $14.50 for shipping sent to Orlando, Florida)
In the end it comes out to $6.33 per can.

Sure, it sounds expensive, but these cans hold 10 oz., three times what you get from the Testor's brand.
Six 10 oz. cans would last through a lot of models.
The Hardware City site has the best prices I've found.

I'm not saying to go out and buy six cans of paint - yet.
I don't want to hear from anybody complaining that this paint doesn't work for you.
If your surfaces aren't clean and smooth you won't get a good finish no matter what paint you use.
We'll do some more testing . . .
