Estes SR-71 Blackbird Build Part 9, Bottom Shroud Tabs

This is as even as I could get the bottom shroud against the inner fin.
I'll wait to trim the balsa after the top shroud is in place.

Here's why you should pre-bend the overlap tabs.
They will be under pressure and want to pop up. It's hard to get a good crease right up against the inner fin edge.

I used the side of the dowel again to get an even pressure down the tab.
Apply glue, wipe off excess, position the tab and add pressure until dry.
Use a little less glue and it'll set up faster.

Before the upper shroud is glued, cut down and sand off the tab overlap.
If the tabs aren't flush with the balsa the upper shroud won't glue down flat.
The instructions don't mention removing any excess tab overhang.
