Enerjet News, Mercury Little Joe I, Part 4, Tower

I'm not going into to much detail on the tower assembly. this has been covered before in the Estes Mercury Redstone Liberty Bell build and in the Centuri instructions posted a few days ago.

Glue two tower sides together, don't glue the low ends to the antenna housing as shown in the Estes instructions. A strip of tape can be used to help hold it together.

When that sets up add small amounts of glue to the inside contact points. Let dry thoroughly before gluing on the third side in the next step.
Turn the tower upside down, The "Vs" are up.
Set the top end nubs into the escape motor bottom (no glue) and check the angle alignment. Set the third side in place and glue.

After the glue dries turn over the tower.
The lower "Vs" actually bend in and into the dimples on the antenna housing. Keep this in mind when gluing them into the antenna housing piece.

I was told this "Vs" inward bend was on purpose. If the tower were to land hard the tower would pop out in one piece making for an easier repair instead of breaking into many pieces.
