The girls are represented counting down and launching a rocket!
At least she's looking at the rocket. In the older instructions, the guy above is looking away from the action.

To be a little bit more nit-picky, why are the folks in the illustrations even looking upward at all?. You would think the focus would be on the pad near ground level or just above.
