That's a really great design from John Boren. Really captures the alien vibe.I think the color scheme is a bit drab, could use a bit of punching up.Also worry about those fins on landing, regardless of reinforcement. Will await launch reports. :)
Hi Neil,I added some metallic black to the engine mount assembly to break up the overall dark gray color.I can't comment on the fin strength as the two builds weren't launched.
I like it! Has kind of a subdued, sinister look.
Hi Lee,It does look sinister, the nose cone is my favorite part of the rocket - except for the canopy masking.
I picture the alien lifeforms that would emerge from this vessel to be decidedly spider-like.....Awesome build, Chris!

The center vanes match perfectly with the shape of the nose cone to make a sine wave over the length of the body tube. Nice!
Hi Lonnie,Sine Wave - That's the best description for the mid body crescent vanes. They carry the ellipse lines from the nose cone shape.
Yeah, it's an extremely well-conceived and executed design, unlike anything I can recall.
