The original Estes Invader was produced from 1976 to 1980, shown above in the 1977 catalog. I did buy, build and fly one in the late 1970s.
More recently, I built two of the "Classic Series" reissues in 2016.

This build is from New Way Space Models, another squared variation on a classic design.

The New Way Angled Invader is 3/4" shorter and a bit wider in diameter.
