Apogee Payload Altitude Rocket, Finished
I hope readers are seeing something different in these competitions builds. They are a good change from ordinary sport rocketry. Light weight and low drag.
Decals have been printed but not yet applied.
All my competition rockets will be the same theme in single fluorescent colors. The same font will be used for the model names.
My NAR number will be another small decal.

Looks good! I hope you do well.
ReplyDeleteAnd now the next exciting kit will be... Drum Roll.
Thanks Scott!
DeleteFingers crossed for the competitions.
the next build will be very interesting - starts tomorrow.
I'm curious to see how that pop lug will work out. Do you plan any test flying before NARAM?
ReplyDeleteHi Daniel,
DeleteI don't think I'll need to do any flight testing of the pop lug before NARAM. These aren't as complex as a fly-away lug. If you can slip one on and tap it away with a finger, it'll work and be left on the launch rod.
I put these together to cover all my bases. If they have a rail available, I'll probably use the fly-away lug. Otherwise the pop-lug will be used with a launch rod.
