The kit contains two half-round dowels to make the tunnels.
Start by sanding the backs flat with 400 grit on a sanding block.
TIP: You'll find it easier to smooth the round sides if the dowel halves are set (flats) back to back.
Don't blindly taper and form the ends into a conical shape.
TIP: Go to the laser etched body tube and extend the tip and cone corners with a pencil.
Set the dowel half over the body tube and draw the lines around the half dowel. This way the dowel will match the correct length of the taper on the tube.
1. Trim the sides,
2. Taper the center tip back,
3. Then round the sides with a sanding block.
