Quest AS-1 Escort Build, Part 2, Engine Mount A

Here's a questionable first step.
GOTCHA: The printed ruler and my metal ruler don't match up. If you set the yellow engine mount tube over the illustration the 1/2" mark would be off.

The quality control wasn't great.
GOTCHA: The yellow motor mount tube isn't quite 2 3/4" long. The pre-cut engine hook slot is cut at an angle.

The instructions tell you to add a wrap of tape to hold the engine hook down. The tape wrap isn't needed.
GOTCHA: If you were to add the tape, the yellow tube wouldn't fit into the rear of the white tube.
This is a dry fit (no glue yet) into the center tube with 1/2" sticking out the back. The engine hook isn't moving much against the outer engine mount tube.
