Estes Space Twister #7258, Part 10, Decals

As always, start with a smaller decal to get used to the soak and transfer times.
I typically soak a decal for 15 seconds and check to see if it will slide a bit off the backing paper. After soaking, let it sit (still wet) on a paper towel for a minute or so.
Wet the body where the decal will go - then slide the decal onto the wet body.

Start the wrap decals on the back of the model, in line with the launch lug so the joint won't be seen.

I made a placement template for the swirl decals on the green side of the fins. It was a simple cardstock template that tucked into the inside corner.
Place the wrap decals on the top and bottom before placing the large name decal. This allows you to center the name decal evenly between the striped wraps.
After the upper and lower wraps are in place, measure and find the center of the open area on the tube. Lightly mark with  pencil.
Find the center of the big name decal and lightly mark.
Transfer the name decal lining up the pencil marks and it will be perfectly centered.
