Some of you might think I'm nuts to go this far for a better finish.
Yeah, I do fill the launch lug seams.
This is the launch lug I'll use on the OOP Quest Nike Smoke.
Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Filler stays in the small seams of the lug better than it adheres on a larger body tube seam.
Simply brush it on over the entire lug, and sand it off leaving the filler in the seams.
TIP: To make a simple holder for brushing, stick two side-by-side toothpicks into the rear of the lug.
