Here's the fix, in place and ready to fly!
In the picture, the nose cone is turned with the patched area facing the camera.
As the nose cone is black, I shot it with just black spray right over the repair patch and primer with no white undercoat.
If the nose cone were a light color, you should use a white undercoat before the final color. With black, that really doesn't matter.
