  1. The new Q-Jets are going to be great for those who don't do reloads. Those of us who do will watch others use them. I would never shell out what those are going to cost. Same with those Estes longer BP motors. Maybe those will get some real Pro Series rockets newsletter in the pipeline, at least.

  2. Great recap Chris - I forgot about the 4” Archer from NCR - one more NCR 4” that’s coming is the Quasar (Matt answered my chat question) but it’s not coming till next year.

  3. Tidbits from Apogee, via their New Products newsletter and the vNARCON Tour:
    Three new kits coming, using BT-55 airframes and 18 mm motors -- a basic model, a two-stager, and a ring-tail;
    GPS-guided parachute system still in development -- might be ready for sale in 12-18 months;
    Apogee not immune to issues in the current employment market.

    1. I haven't been able to watch the Apogee tour yet. I've seen the BT-55 based models. I always thought the BT-55 was the optimum LPR tube - a good combination of wall thickness to tube diameter strength.

  4. Oh, and I'm totally excited for the new Estes A3 mini delay options.

    1. Hi Bob,
      I agree! The A3-2 will work great in a Birdie. I still have two older A3-6 motors, perfect for a model like the BT-5 based Semroc Thunderbee.

  5. I'm totally stoked about tha A3-2T motor. There hasn't been a short delay A motor for boost/rocket gliders for quite some time. Must start pulling out those vintage B/G plans. I also have a mini-motor 2-stager in the build queue that will benefit from those 6s.

    1. Hi Ed.
      You are right - I didn't even consider boost gliders. I tend to shy away from them. (I've lost too many over the years.)
