DFR Technologies DELTA II Finished!
The Delta two has a flat finish, except for the teal wrap which is gloss.
I paint my models with clear and then hit it with a dull coat after the decals or wraps are applied.
On the Delta II, I masked off the teal wrap and clear fins before spraying on the dull coat.

The nose cone on the real Delta II has an "ablative" finish. It's rough and some wears off during the heat of launch. I tried to replicate this rough texture by spraying the nose cone from a distance, letting the paint spatter a bit.
The Delta II is an impressive model on the display shelf and in the air.
