At the end of step 12, you "cut away the areas on the tube where shown."
Like before, a pencil line was drawn. It's easier to see the line you want to cut against the white plastic.
For consistency, a strip of paper was cut and taped to the inside of the tube as a height guideline.
This was moved to each of the four cut areas as needed.

In the picture you can see the cut wasn't perfect. The body tube and plastic wrap are thick.
The cut was evened up using a diamond file, then an emery board to keep the line straight.
Before too much sanding was done, the bottom inside edge of the tube got a coat of CA. This keeps the tube "fuzzies" down and gives you a stronger surface to smooth out.
