It will be interesting to see how the fit between the fin and the body tube will be like. When you work out the geometry, you'll find that the base edge of a wedge-shape fin ends up as a slight curve rather than a straight line -- with the curvature being more pronounced as the fin becomes thicker.

ReplyDeleteFigured I wasn't the only one. As soon as I saw the email today the first thought I had was "Wow, somebody at Estes remembers the Centuri Bandito".
ReplyDeleteI'm curious why Estes didn't use the Bandito name. It would've been more unique than Banshee, which has been used on 2 previous Estes models.
