FlisKits Saturn 1B Kit Arrives!
My FlisKits Saturn 1B came in the mail a few days back!
Sure, it arrives just as I'm working on the Semroc Saturn 1B. Don't expect me to start the FlisKits version anytime soon. I'm sure I'll be tired of the Saturn 1B when this current Semroc build is finished.
I had wanted this kit for quite a while, but it has been out of production. FlisKits announced there was going to be a final run. I kept an eye out and ordered as soon as they were available.
You can tell parts inventory is getting low. The parachute is red sheet plastic, not the Flis printed chute. The kit bag is much wider than it probably should be. Not a problem, I'm glad to finally have the kit!

Fliskits Saturn 1B Score!
Most all of us know that Fliskits is closing up production.
Jim Flis announced that a limited number of Saturn 1B kits would be available this week. I've been looking for a kit, it's been out of production for quite a white. I kept an eye on the website and it was listed for orders on Saturday.

This is a small version of the Saturn 1B, the main center section is a BT-50. The model length is 9.3", the tower is less than 1/2" tall!
I ordered two kits.
Why? I like a good challenge and it could be a good build for the blog.
