Speaking of pedal car... I do have memories of a pedal car that one of my older cousins had -- the body style typical of late 19570s or very early 1960s and was overall white, and the most distinctive feature being the markings -- a yellow stripe along the side with an image of a rocket on the front, and a blue circle with USA marking on the side. I'd need to see if I can locate a picture of it (back when it was still new -- by the time I'd seen it, it was a bit faded and worn from several years of use) to confirm, but I believe it was likely the "astronaut car" from 1960. Unfortunately this pedal car has long since been discarded back in the mid-to-late 1970s.
I think most modelers can appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this restoration. Oh to have those skills, (not to mention that equipment!)
ReplyDeleteGreat video of the restoration. Awesome looking pedal car. A heirloom for sure.
