Estes LTV Scout, Build, Part 24, Touching Up The Black



The decals are old and subject to cracking, especially on the open ends where the section are slid together.

The end edges were sealed with clear acrylic applied with a Q-tip. 




The white areas were blackened in with a medium point Sharpie.

    Is the clear acrylic you are applying water-based or solvent based? For example Future vs Krylon clear acrylic, etc.

      Hi Augendoc,
      I use Future acrylic floor polish. I only apply it to the leading edge of decals. Some builders slather on Future, I use it sparingly. Too much clear acrylic can get sticky on hot, humid summer days.
