The tough part of this kit are forming and filling the small actuators. To match the face card color scheme, I do recommend painting the colors separately before the glued assembly.
This is an impressive model, the new C5-3 motor should fit it well.

Looks great, good job as always. I did order one, but doubt I will follow the colors shown on the computer generated face card. As a rocket it looks great.

DeleteThe face card paint is hard to get right. I haven't seen one fly yet, if I were to build another for me it would probably be a shelf queen.
Wow, that’s almost too pretty to fly! But at my age, I’ll fly any build. I’ve been saying “I’ll fly that someday” for too long. :-)

ReplyDeleteChris, I am building this model and after spraying the Gloss white, the laser etched control surfaces really don't look that good. I tried scraping the lines out with an Exacto blade, still does not look very good. I am thinking about just tracing the control surfaces with a fine black pen.
