Estes Space Twister #7258, Part 3, Parts Prep

The nose cone and tail cone are cut apart with a fine razor saw.
The instructions hint at throwing away the tail cone as it isn't used on the model. but, I'll keep it for a future build.

The raised side of the nose cone seam is scraped down using the back side of  knife blade, like a cabinet scraper would be used. No sense in dulling the sharp side of the blade.

On the right side picture you can make out the medium Super Glue bead that fills any remaining recess seam. After the CA glue dries, sand to surface.

The body tube felt weak and has two recess seams that needed filling.

I thought about using a BT-50H (heavy wall) tube to replace it, but the nose cone shoulder felt too small a diameter.
As I found out later - I should have used a replacement tube.

The shroud lines were tied to a snap swivel.
The parachute was set into a zip-lock jewelry bag to keep the shroud lines untangled.
