While these re-issue kits don't include the conversion parts for flight (the interior tube, engine mount, launch lug, parachute and nose weight) you might still be able to add them. I don't know for sure.
The original Vostok kit included smaller scale display fins and larger fins for flight.
Just don't expect much altitude!

I have a Vostok kit upstairs. The interior plastic body is horribly warped and seems unusable. I'll make it work somehow. I'll post it on the blog with all the necessary parts and assembly for flying.
Hey Chris, got my Vostok and am considering the build. Thoght maybe I might wait to see how you do it first. How far down the build queue is yours?

ReplyDeleteI've got it about half way built. Most of the plastic "halves" were badly warped. Lots of clamping and glue to get it together. I'm just starting on the paint.
It's pretty frustrating but it should be up after the Reflector being featured now.
