Wow..Impressive detail painting. That takes a very steady hand. My only criticism of the model is the lack of grain filling on the fins. This causes the painted details to have uneven edges and detracts from all the other fine work. This point might be too nit-picky. Still a nicely-done model rocket.
Hi Ed, I didn't even look at the fins! Filling balsa is easy for me now, but to give this builder big props - I could never do that hand painted detail.
Hey Chris, I know it's off topic, but you missed the last one, so I wanted to let you know that there will be a make up NEFAR launch on March 24th. Woo hoo!!!
True artistry by a craftsman. Wish I had those skills. Looks like even the rivets were hand painted. Decals, we don't need no stinkin' decals.
ReplyDeleteHi BAR,
DeleteThis builder may have been an old school sign painter. I've tried hand lettering before, but nothing this small!
He does incredible work - very imaginative scratch builds.
ReplyDeleteHi Chris,
DeleteI'll keep an eye out for the scratch builds.

DeleteI probably wouldn't have checked the website. I should be there -
