Interesting to note the price was bumped up from 6 Million to 7 Million. A million dollar increase - "Yeah, just initial that!"

As some have said on TRF, it could be great to have an actual hobbyist and a aerospace engineer at the helm.
I met John Langford (Robert Ellis' Father) at the NARAMs in 1975 and 1976. John was half of the Biedron/Langford team. Their scale entries were amazing. John commented on my models: "Your work is clean, you should consider entering the Scale Competition." I took that as a great compliment.
I was an “early adopter” of the optimistic view point that having the Langfords involved in buying Estes was a good thing - sure hope it truly is a good thing. Time will tell.
ReplyDeleteLove that Estes coffee cup! Anyone know if it’s available anywhere?
Hi Openroad,
DeleteThey are here: https://www.zazzle.com/s/estes+model+rocket+mugs
but a bit expensive!
It appears that one of the links in your post was mangled:

Thanks Naoto,
DeleteLink fixed!
This sounds like terrific news! I really hope the new Estes brings back some of the classics and works on some new scale kits.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that a ROCKETEER bought Estes was a major change in fortune.
ReplyDeleteWhile others talk kits, Estes needs to look into the purity of the KNO3 that is used to make motors. The motors of today are weak compared to say 1975.
they need to lower a/b/c/engine prices ....its crazy
ReplyDeleteHi Metal,
DeleteI agree! But, we know that 'aint gonna happen.
Exciting!!!!
