The upcoming F-18 HORNET, now in development.
Each model is very different, capturing the spirit of the original jet designs.
While not a true scale model, modifications have been made to insure stable flight.
The F-18 Hornet has gone through many flight tests.
Instructions are being drawn up, parts will be ordered soon.
Release date? Who knows! Hopefully in the next few months.
Considering offering the Hornet with decals so it can be painted like a Blue Angel.

DeleteThe Blue Angel décor would have been my first choice - but the copyright and licensing fees would put the kit price way too high for the average builder!
I'm pretty sure you just need to request a "statement of non-objection". The main thing is the government can't be seen as endorsing a product; you shouldn't run into any issues. https://www.esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/issuances/dodi/541020p.pdf

DeleteThe other concern is I'm not able to print decals with white ink. The white undercoat is needed for the yellow markings set over the darker blue paint. There are very few sources that still silk screen decals making it too expensive for a smaller run rocket kits.
