Aerotech Mantis Launch Pad, Finished

This is a large impressive launcher and can be used with 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" launch lug models.

This picture shows the Swing Arm when it is released from the "T" piece on the Launch Angle Control Assembly.

This heavy tube piece can be placed under the center of the black Base piece. It supports heavier rockets.

Tomorrow -
Start of the Estes Super Mars Snooper build!

  1. Hi Chris, I have a Mantis but it did not come with the support tube. Could you please provide the tube dimensions as I can see how useful it would be. Thanks for doing such a wonderful blog. JohnJohn

    1. Hi John,
I don't have the support tube - everything was sent back to Aerotech. They requested I assemble it, blog about it and send it back.
It is simply a thick support tube - it doesn't lock or attach but sits underneath the bottom providing more support for the heavier models. I would guess it was about 3" diameter. The height would be from the ground up to where it makes contact with the bottom of the main launcher body.
