Mars Snooper Build Part 3 Shrouds and Pods
I used my adjustable hole punch to cut the ends of the ovals. The top and bottom of the lug cut out holes would be very hard to cut with a knife.
After the end holes are punched, the middle curve areas are cut with a sharp knife.
The three shrouds are formed as I've done before using a dowel and the heel of my hand.
Two of the shrouds will be joined together. I want all three to be as close to a perfect round shape as I can get.
Before any more gluing is done, centering rings are set in the shrouds so they develop a more round "memory". I left them to sit like this overnight.
This is a dry fit of the BT-5 pods, longer then you might think at almost 5" from end to end.
