Who knows why?
The paint may be yet another formulation or it could be a change in the weather.
This is one way to help with the problem.
After spraying the second color, run your knife down the tape edge. This cuts a line in the paint and will prevent the paint from tearing and lifting down the masked line.

This is the mask edge after removing the tape.
It'll still need a little cleaning up where the rounded leading edge meets the body tube.
As explained before, I'll "push" the paint (no scraping) back onto itself with a knife blade.
Good tip, I have this problem all the time.
