Matching Cluster Engines

Check out the clay caps on these three Estes C6-5 engines.
All three are from different batches, made on different dates.
I was picking out engines for a two engine cluster model.

It's probably something to consider - the cap distance from the top of the engine.
There's always some difference when cluster ejections fire. Sometimes you'll hear separate ejection "pops".
I chose the two on the right side, a better match for a cluster flight.

There are some that also check igniter resistance when prepping cluster flights.
