  1. Very nice design. Commercializing the replaceable Kevlar design is a great idea.

    1. Thanks Neil,
I've been wanting to do this for while, combining my replaceable Kevlar idea with the heavy wall tubing and extended engine hook.

    2. I've been wanting to try the replaceable Kevlar but my last few builds have all had tail shrouds that have made it impossible. Haven't come up with a way to adapt it to that situation yet.

    3. Hi Neil,
Nope - Not easy to do a replaceable Kevlar line with a tail shroud.

  2. Great design, Chris! I still think back to the early days of building, and making slits in the body tube, then gluing in the rubber shock cord. Hard to believe anybody ever thought that was a good technique. :-)

    1. Hi Lee,
That and Estes using a tri-fold mount in a BT-5 or BT-20 tube. Just what you need, something to block the parachute and wadding ejection.

  3. Those centering rings look fairly thick too - are the HD as well?

    1. Hi Openroad,
The centering rings are black Letramax material, it's .050" thick. A bit denser than what you would see in a LPR kit. The rings are custom cut to fit the thicker walled BT-20H tubing. There are holes cut for the Kevlar guide tube and engine hook relief.
