Launch! Orlando R.O.C.K., October 5, 2013

I know, I just did a soccer field launch yesterday. More rockets, more launches.

My Dr. Zooch SATURN V  had a flawless launch with an Estes B6-4 to 300'. No damage on recovery.

Next to it is Manuel Mejia's Halbert III flown with an Apogee F10-8.
Made from paper towel rolls, Manny was glad to get the lower half back.

Carl from DFR Technologies was test flying the new Atlas V. It'll be in kit form soon.

Carl also flew the Delta IV 4-2, Delta IV 5-2 and of course his Estes Guardian.

The Odd'l Rockets PIGASUS was launched with an Estes B6-4.
Pigasus will be a kit soon!
The parachute didn't fully open but the pig touched down without a scratch.

David Haas flew a Semroc Point with a B4-2 engine.
Classic conical stability and rigid chute recovery.

Here's one of the carded PDF downscales I drew up while in Mexico.
It's a BT-20 based Centuri HORNET.

It's first flight with a 1/2 A3-4t was very stable.
All was great until ejection when the nose cone snapped back and hit a leading edge fin.

The closing shot:
Larry Ribakoff gets a little cover during a quick shower.

My also flowns:
The Odd'l Rockets SPUTNIK with an Estes A10-3t for the Sputnik anniversary.
CD SPOOL with an Estes C6-3.
