Here you go - the Vern Estes designed prototype for the Astron Scout.
It turned out well, nice to see a balsa nose cone in an Estes kit again.
If you are into Model Rocket History, this could be a great addition to your fleet.
Hi Anonymous, shown in a forum post picture, I understand it noses in like the Estes 220 Swift. Those "fin weights" on the fin tips are probably more for historical "show".

The amusing bit about painting them a dull dark gray colour is close to the appearance of (oxidized) lead.
