Estes Low Boom SST #7289 Build, Part 11, Wings & Tail Cone Fitting

The tail cone and body tube joint got a shot of filler/primer. The middle rudder (top) fin goes right down the seam joint.

I set the wing against the body tube and tail cone to check the fit. With a bright light behind it, you can see some gaps. I marked with pencil where the wing root edge was touching the body tube and tail cone. The marked areas were carefully sanded and the root edge then made contact all the way down the body.

The wings and rudder are glued on.
The rudder is almost even with the back end, the the wings end up forward about halfway up the long tail cone.

Here the fillets have been started.
I usually do the first fillet pass with yellow wood glue then follow with Titebond Molding and Trim Glue.
