Yesterday on Y.O.R.F., Gus (Steve) posted: "Oh, I forgot! One of the biggest Estes announcements at NARCON was that Estes will be releasing NEW IGNITERS ("starters") !!!!! No details as to when, but they are under development and will be coming.
Wow now this is some news. I'd expect to see more clusters coming out of Estes in the future if they have more reliable starters to go with them. Exciting!
Hi Neil, I was surprised when Estes brought out the Side Kick, two engine cluster kit. Considering all they supply are the no pyrogen "starters". Maybe more cluster kits are on the way.
I’ve got a good supply of Quest Q2G2 igniters, but when those are gone, it would be good to have a replacement for them from Estes. Let’s hope they have long leads like Q2G2s to make clustering a bit easier. I currently redip Estes starters, and just use cheap, lightweight test leads with mini alligator clips, if extra reach is needed.

ReplyDeleteHi Lee,
DeleteI've got quite a few Q2G2 igniters. Been saving them for clusters, which I never seem to do anymore.
But will they be better or worse?
ReplyDeleteHi David,
DeleteI would think they are going to be better -
