A new tube was cut from some 50mm scrap.
The picture shows the black interior of the tube.
The instructions make no mention of painting the inside of the tube. The tube was large enough I could fill the inside seams and sand it smooth.
It was sprayed with primer, sanded and the interior sprayed black.
I had to sand off a little black overspray. The white probably wouldn't cover this.
The outside of the tube has already had the seams filled and primer sanded smooth.
A piece of copy paper was rolled and set tightly against the inside wall of the tube.
This should keep the white and aluminum paint off the already painted black interior.
I tried the blue strip from the stick on sheet.
It's a little short. I was concerned you would see the line stop under the wing.
It's also translucent and you could see the color separation line between the white and silver through the blue strip.
I ended up using a line of blue from a trim Monokote sheet.
This strip was slightly darker than the spray blue paint on the rest of the model. It's not that noticeable.
