Quest Aerospace One Part 20 Step 30 Decals

Bill Stine has given permission to make the Aerospace One decal sheet available.
Patreon members: If you'd like a PDF of the Aerospace One "print it yourself" decal sheet, email me at: oddlrockets@bellsouth.net
Please note: The available decal art is the property of Quest Aerospace and used by permission.
The decal art is not of the larger blue trim pieces. I masked and spray painted the blue areas.

The decals I printed went on well with a few exceptions.

The rudder flap decal "boxes" seemed too wide.
To look more like the face card illustration, they were hung over the trailing edge and trimmed off after the decal dried.

The Presidential Seal decal I printed was a transparent yellow. It will need a white background to show up well.

I cut as round a border (clear lip) as I could around the yellow seal decal.
On a white decal sheet (just a standard decal sheet that got a coat of gloss white paint) I traced around the yellow decal with a pencil.

The inset picture shows the white underlay disk set over the yellow decal. You want the white just inside the border of the seal decal.

The round white underlay decal is set down first and allowed to dry.

In the picture the yellow seal decal has been slid halfway off the backing to show how transparent it is with the blue background behind it.

Here's the finished decal on the nose cone.

The white "undercoat" disk decal really makes the yellow decal show up.
