Enlarge the picture at the right and check out the tape reinforcement for the plastic launch lug strip piece.
I've never seen one used before in a kit.

Well, it's always nice to see new kits. I just prefer something you build.
That (clear) reinforcement tape would make sense -- I can't see the glue bond holding up too well -- especially if when we're talking about a plastic piece that's glued onto a pre-decorated body tube.

ReplyDeleteI still get a satisfaction out of actually "building" a kit, even more so out of a scratch design and build.
A few years ago I was building banjos. I learned more about the instrument by building one than I did in 25 years of just playing a factory made instrument.
But there is something I do like about an indestructible fin can, still available in the Estes Eliminator model, (Enerjet 1340 can)
RTFs? Never bought one, never will.
